Advice on plans

Hi this mid-century house in east london. Architect did some plans for the extension which gives non-square angles. We'd prefer squared and basically outsource the odd angle to a garden store cupboard/planted area (see our red outline). Interested to hear views. Also any views on ground floor windows looking to garden (this almost perfectly south facing so sun all day). Want to keep the patio and perhaps introduce some shading.
