Brad Pitt has been making some changes to his California real estate portfolio lately. TMZ reports that the actor’s LA house is currently in escrow in an off-market transaction; its final price tag has not yet been revealed. The Los Feliz property was the scene of a burglary in June of this year. The F1 star was away at the time of the break-in, but sources told TMZ that he was looking to part ways with the home months before it was ransacked.
Pitt’s Los Feliz pad was previously owned by Aileen Getty, who is a philanthropist and heiress to the Getty family oil fortune. She snagged the midcentury modern abode, which is known as The Steel House, from Maroon 5’s guitarist James Valentine in 2019 before offloading it in 2023 in a swap with Pitt: Getty purchased the actor’s longtime Craftsman-style mansion in the Hollywood Hills for $33 million, while the Oscar winner was looking to downsize and spent $5.5 million on Getty’s three-bedroom, two-bathroom house.
The L-shaped hillside dwelling boasts sweeping views of the city. Its interiors pay homage to the 1960s era of its construction, with midcentury details including terrazzo floors, cantilevered eaves, and beamed ceilings. All three bedrooms in the 2,000-square-foot residence are decked out with cobalt blue carpeting. The home’s kitchen, primary bedroom, primary bathroom, and walk-in closet all feature light blue custom cabinetry. Amenities found in the estate’s backyard include a swimming pool, a redwood hot tub, and a freestanding sauna.

The actor seems to be engaged in a Golden State real estate reshuffling as of late. Weeks ago, Pitt—a self-proclaimed architecture enthusiast—purchased a Spanish-style mansion in the Hollywood Hills for $12 million. Currently, he maintains the historic D.L. James bungalow in Carmel, which he bought in 2022 for $40 million, as his primary residence.
